Coaching Services

Coach Thea is based in the Princeton area and offers training plans for all levels of athletes in all race distances.  She is a two time Ironman finisher and has been competing in triathlons since 1999 and coaching since 2009.  Thea has qualified for age group nationals many occasions. Coach Thea passion is  working with new people coming into the sport of triathlon or athletes attempting a new race distance.  Each client will get a phone conference to discuss what their training goals are before a training plan will be determined.   There is an initial set up fee of $75 per client to set up their Annual Training Plan.

Premium  $300 a month

  • A custom designed individual Annual Training Plan based on athlete’s goals and fitness level
  • Exercise testing and analysis of training progress
  • Specific training advice to improve areas of weaknesses
  • A Training Peaks account for use in distributing your training plan and tracking of workouts
  • Weekly workout schedules sent using Training Peaks and adjusted weekly as needed based on your training progress
  • Athlete to coach communication by email as needed and weekly phone conferences
  • Race strategy for each race in your plan
  • Nutrition information and recommendations

Silver $200 a month

  • A custom designed individual Annual Training Plan based on athlete’s goals and fitness level

  • A Training Peaks account for use in distributing your training plan and tracking of workouts
  • Bi-weekly workout schedules sent using Training Peaks and adjusted bi-weekly as needed based on your training progress
  • Athlete to coach communication by email as needed and by phone on a bi-weekly basis

Bronze $150 a month

  • A custom designed individual Annual Training Plan based on athlete’s goals and fitness level
  • Exercise testing and analysis of training progress
  • Specific training advice to improve areas of weaknesses
  • A Training Peaks account for use in distributing your training plan and tracking of workouts
  • Monthly workout schedules sent using Training Peaks and adjusted monthly as needed based on your training progress
  • Athlete to coach communication by email once a week and by phone once a month

 

A 24 Week Beginner Training Plan for a 70.3 Race

Cost: $40

Who is this plan for?

Anyone who is participating in their first 70.3 or someone whose goal is to finish the race and do it safely and have some fun! The athlete should be already training 5-6 hours a week for at least a month before starting this plan. You should be able to swim at least 1500 yards in a workout, a bike for 45 min-1 hour  per workout and run for 45 minutes-1 hour per workout to start this program. You should be able to do these workouts at least twice per week.

What comes with the plan?

  1. A 24 week training plan to follow
  2. A basic Training Peaks account
  3. Workout emailed to you on a daily basis by Training Peaks
  4. Tri 4 Fun Facebook page to answer questions that you may have about the plan and its workouts.
  5. A basic  nutrition guide on how to handle your race day nutrition or heavy volume training days

What will the plan not cover?

  1. No emails or phone calls with the coach
  2. No coached workouts
  3. No coach support other than the Facebook page for questions

What is required to use the plan?

  1. A bike,  indoor trainer or access to a stationary bike
  2. A heart rate monitor so you can train in your proper zones
  3. A place to do your swim and possibility of a treadmill for bad weather days
  4. Computer or phone app to use Training Peaks
  5. You must sign a liability agreement with Tri 4 Fun Training and become a member of the Tri 4 Fun club (no charge to join.  This is not a club that will provide workouts or social events.)
